BA (Hons) Photography
Chapman discovers an affinity for the places in her present, from her past and in her possible futures. Dealing with the intricacies and nuances of home she explores notions of belonging, community and relationships to interrogate her sense of self.
Structuring her practice around self-portraiture, her work incorporates landscape and still life whilst returning to the window as a motif between public and private spheres. Working with the photobook as a platform Chapman creates sensitive narratives through careful consideration of sequence, layout and materials.
