BA (Hons) Photography
Documentary and landscape photographer Lucy Bedford explores escapism through photography, whilst creating intimate narratives that allude to subjective expression. Her practice investigates relationships between people and place; in doing so, she discusses wider themes including identity and belonging to connect with her audience.
Bedford pays particular attention to the aesthetics and physicality of her visual narratives through working with handmade photobooks, analogue photography and cyanotypes. These approaches compliment and juxtapose against contemporary digital practice such as interactive website design and digital illustration that offers an innovative approach to the material and immaterial.
