To create a gallery experience, bridging the gap between art and science for the public of Cambridge, to showcase how they are linked symbiotically and express these two industries within the city. Science and art are human attempts to understand and describe the world around us. Their methods have different traditions, and intended audiences, but often the motivations and goals are fundamentally the same.
The end user is the general public and tourists, because of the gallery’s central location in the city and subject of design enquiry. Additionally, the city is known for its architectural history of the colleges as well as being popular for its unique food scene, market and culture.
