Candor is a music school extension to the already existing school on Lionel Street. Common words associated with Candor include boldness, spontaneity and unconstraint which is what I aimed to achieve with my design. Taking inspiration from Frank Gehry’s LV building with a combination of my own sketch interpretation of the sites form, I created a bold and eye-catching façade. “Music travels out” what I aimed to portray with my building was that my façade is similar to a note trying to escape and reach its audience. The core function of my building is the concert hall and practice rooms providing students with additional equipment.
