BA (Hons) International Fashion Business
Emefa Jessica Dabla is an international student from Germany who studied International Fashion Business at Coventry University.
Emefa, developed a wide range of skills while studying International Fashion Business. Her skills range from market and consumer research to Marketing, PR, and Business planning strategies, as well as strong technical skills in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Adobe XD.
Emefa created "Sapés" (which is French for clothes), a multiband retailer that allows emerging designers to sell to a global audience, with the exception that they are all fully sustainable, ethical, and transparent.
By giving small, emerging brands the opportunity to sell their product through an e-commerce retailer, Sapés, hopes to protect small brands, particularly those who rely on purchases from tourists, in times like the pandemic when travel is restricted.
Every collection at Sapés is focused on at least one of the following: recycling, upcycling, zero waste, or slow fashion.
Emefa, discovered a demand for sustainable fashion and picked up on the consumer shift where Millennials and Generation Z, her target market, move away from big brands and more towards smaller businesses that focus on sustainability; creating clothing without harming the environment.
