ABIGAIL CORBISHLEY

An architecture student with goals to make the link between human and nature thrive again in all my future endeavours. The key to creating a happy life is to indulge natures natural remedies.

This project was designed to do just that! While including education to create awareness of the nature around us. Festo a client of this design, produce robotics which simulate the movement and characteristics of small animals and insects. The aim was to create a research space to enhance their products so that eventually the clients team would be able to produce equipment to assist nature and its re-growth. Having client connections and shared ethos is key, while Festo is creating its technologies to assist, the Warwickshire wildlife trust is aligned to improve the overall site, especially the river Sherborne.

As this building is multi-functional, more relative clients were introduced to give the building its multi-purpose. These include a transportation production client known as Voi, this particular client is looking into reducing emissions through the use of bike and electric scooter hire and as Coventry is known for its transportation, this became very important in showing how Coventry is further developing ways to travel.
