The Green Centre

About me: During my undergraduate studies I realised the importance of incorporating health and wellness into architectural designs, and therefore I tried to integrate it into every project as much as possible. It is vital to understand the relationship between space, buildings and it's users to improve their health and wellbeing, and enhance the quality of their lives. I aim to continue learning and develop my interest between architecture and wellbeing.
About My Project: My project is based in Spon End in Coventry, an industrial site since the 14th century, which has evidenced pollution and deprivation, including poor health and wellbeing. My aim for this project was to tackle these issues by transforming and restoring the site into a healthier environment. The building aims to get users active, blurring the boundaries between the inside and out, through increasing the interactions with the natural environment. The building serves as a place for people to create healthy and sustainable lifestyles through exercise, meditation, social interactions and learning.
