BSc (Hons) Architecture
About the project: Situated at the barrier between Coventry's large and fine grain typologies, the SustainCentre aims to connect people in multiple ways; to their City, to their environment and to each other. Thus, making them more aware of the place they live, how to improve it, and give people a stake in their community. The SustainCentre's functions can be split into the three well known categories of reduce, reuse and recycle. These categories manifest in multiple ways, with the aim to connect the users to these debates. At the forefront of this project is a micro-transport hub allowing users to commute efficiently, economically and environmentally.
About me: I feel architecture should be about creating and emboldening communities to achieve their potential. This can only be accomplished through collaboration and testing of ideas to fully understand the client, context and climate, thus creating the best possible outcomes. Throughout my studies, I have applied this line of thinking to create spaces that are intrinsically socially orientated.
