'Garage Palace': A painting from a series of work I created in a project where I explored how music can bring back happy memories. This piece was inspired from the song 'Garage Palace' By Gorillaz and a memory of being in the car with some close friends.

Hello! My name is Libby Beaumont, I am a fine artist and illustrator based in Coventry, UK. My practice consists of using more traditional methods, mainly acrylic paint, to create striking and colorful imagery. Much of my work is inspired by music, exploring how art has the power to elevate music and create a more exciting experience for the viewer/listener. My use of colour is often bold and brash (in a good way!) and I tend not to overthink my use of colour and create using whatever I feel is right for the piece. My love for absurd art also creeps into my practice as I also enjoy creating weird and outlandish imagery, whether it be by my use of clashing colours or through my unique depictions of people and objects.

'Jay Kay': An abstract portrait of the lead singer of the band 'Jamiroquai'. Acrylic and Lino Print on Canvas (40cmX60cm)
'Brian Molko': An abstract portrait of the lead singer from the band 'Placebo'. Acrylic on Canvas (40cmx60cm)
'Layne Staley': An abstact portrait of the late lead singer from the band 'Alice In Chains'. Acrylic on Canvas (40cmx60cm)
An experimental piece I created separate from my coursework.
